Animal Mints Feminized is a highly sought-after Indica-dominant hybrid celebrated for its exceptionally dense, frosty buds, powerful potency, and distinctive aroma combining sweet cookie dough, cool mint, and pungent diesel fuel. Originally bred by Seed Junky Genetics, this premium cultivar combines two legendary strains: Animal Cookies x SinMint Cookies. Animal Mints is renowned for its heavy trichome production, rich dessert-inspired terpene profile, and deeply relaxing effects.
Cultivation Profile
Animal Mints is an intermediate-to-advanced-level plant to grow, rewarding attentive cultivators with exceptionally resinous flowers and impressive bag appeal. It thrives in controlled indoor environments where temperature, humidity, airflow, and canopy management can be carefully maintained.
Flowering Time: Typically 9 to 10 weeks (63–70 days) when grown as an indoor photoperiod.
Plant Structure: Tends to grow medium height with sturdy branches, compact internodal spacing, and dense, chunky buds. Flowers often display deep forest-green coloration, purple highlights, fiery orange pistils, and a thick coating of sparkling white trichomes. Cooler nighttime temperatures during late flowering may encourage purple coloration in genetically predisposed phenotypes.
Yield Potential: Moderate to high yields, with approximately 350–500 g/m² indoors under favorable conditions. Outdoor yields vary considerably depending on climate, plant size, and cultivation practices.
Odors: Extremely pungent during the final weeks of flowering. Carbon filters are highly recommended for indoor grow tents to manage the powerful combination of sweet cookies, mint, earthy kush, and sharp diesel aromas.
Flavor & Effects
THC Range: Commonly reported between 20% and 28% THC, with some exceptional phenotypes potentially testing higher.
Terpenes & Flavor: Frequently associated with caryophyllene, limonene, and myrcene, although terpene dominance varies by phenotype. Animal Mints delivers a rich combination of sweet vanilla cookies, creamy dough, refreshing mint, earthy pine, and pungent diesel fuel. Its flavor profile balances sugary dessert sweetness with a sharp, gassy finish.
The High: Powerful and deeply relaxing. Animal Mints typically begins with an uplifting wave of cerebral euphoria, happiness, and mental calm before gradually transitioning into a heavy, soothing body sensation. Higher doses may produce pronounced sedation and couch-lock, making it a popular choice among experienced consumers seeking a potent evening strain.
